From “cooks” to bartenders, Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul paid a visit to Stamford’s own Fortina Pizza as part of their tour around the country to promote their mezcal tequila, Dos Hombres.
And, as expected, fans were the “ones who knocked” down the doors of Fortina—showing up in droves to take a peep at the Emmy award-winning icons.
The two formed Dos Hombres in 2019. Dos Hombres, which translates to “two men,” is emblematic of the television drug-lord duo’s inseparable bond, both onscreen and off.
The pair arrived at Fortina around 6 p.m., and at that point the restaurant was already packed wall-to-wall—with a line still wrapped around the building.
The two walked into Fortina and were met with absolute fanfare. Cranston and Paul welcomed the almost fraternity-like frenzy that ensued, smiling ear-to-ear as they pushed their way through the energetic crowd.
The actors then made their way up to the banister by the kitchen and enjoyed a celebratory-slice of house pizza. Paul and Cranston both gave the pizza a thumbs up, before heading back down to the bar to start mixing and serving the evening’s specialty cocktails and shots of their mezcal.
Adoring fans held up bottles of Dos Hombres, autograph posters and even limbs in hopes the actors would give it a sign.
Aaron Paul, at one point, crowd surfed while balancing a tray of free shots. Highly impressive.
“We are so grateful to have the opportunity to collaborate with Dos Hombres on this event. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul were a pleasure to have at Fortina,” Samantha Melisi, Fortina’s Director of Operations shared with us. “Thank you to everyone who came out to show support and we are already in the works for another collaboration in the future!”
