The J House Greenwich will present an extraordinary new art exhibition on March 12 that highlights four local Connecticut artists, including spouses David and Dollka Morico, Joe Bender and Bryn Craven.
Sip on wine, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and view beautiful art. After the event, bring your party upstairs to Tony’s at The J House. A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital.
Hailing from diverse backgrounds yet united in their passion for art, the Moricos bring a wealth of talent and experience to the contemporary art scene in the tristate area. Dollka Morico, a native of Ponce, Puerto Rico, channels her eclectic influences into vibrant abstract mixed media and collage artworks. David Morico’s art reflects a fusion of abstract landscapes and nostalgic pop-art motifs.
Bender is a graphic designer/illustrator/art director with experience across print and digital media. His paintings and illustrations include portraits, still life, Peanuts characters and astronauts. Bender takes inspiration from popular culture, including Star Wars and comics.
Bryn Craven’s art is a vibrant fusion of mixed media, drawing inspiration from vintage comics and nostalgic candy packaging. Rooted in the essence of street art, her work embodies a joyful aesthetic, aiming to evoke happiness and delight in viewers.
The exhibition opens March 12 with a reception from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The exhibition will remain on display through early April.
The J House Greenwich is located at 1114 E. Putnam Avenue in Greenwich, Conn.
