Join the Stamford Public Education Foundation (SPEF) on Thursday, April 27th at 5:30p.m. for the 2023 Excellence in Education Awards being held at the Stamford Marriott Hotel & Spa. Be a part of this special celebration that honors the hard work of community leaders who invest themselves in the education and enrichment Stamford’s next generation.

This year’s event will recognize three community leaders who are committed to inspiring a passion for reading in all students. Recipients of the SPEF Leadership in Literacy Award:
• Amy Beldotti, Associate Superintendent, Teaching and Learning, Stamford Public Schools
• Alice Knapp, Chief Executive Officer, Ferguson Library
• Reading is Fundamental.

In addition, we will be presenting the SPEF Educator Award the night of the event. The educators are nominated by Parent-Teacher organizations, and the winner is selected by SPEF’s Board of Directors.
