In celebration of Black History month, Ruth Cargill is exhibiting her work honoring her father’s heritage from Ghana. She is from England and immigrated to the U.S. and studied at Parsons New School of Design in NYC. Her garden paintings are memories of her childhood in England, she lived next to the British Museum of Art. Her paintings referring to her African roots are abstract.
