The Suzuki Music School of Westport will host the final concert of their 2022-2023 Pillow Concert series on Sunday, April 23rd at 3:00pm in the Blake Recital Hall (246 Post Road East, Lower Level, Westport CT 06880). It will feature the award-winning Callisto Quartet, the ensemble-in-residence at the Suzuki Music Schools and the Fellowship String Quartet at the Yale School of Music.

The Pillow Concert Series features professional artists performing in an informal setting designed for the whole family. Children of all ages can bring a pillow and sit up close with the performers. They will perform music by Schubert and Bartok.

Eva Kennedy, violist of the Callisto Quartet, said “It’s been so great to be able to share some of our favorite music with young audiences! Performing in a setting that’s geared toward…kids…is such a rewarding way to perform and can often be a more enjoyable experience for adult audiences as well.”

Cellist Hannah Moses added, “We have loved these Pillow Concerts because …we really get to show kids and adults what we love about the music we get to play, and [it] gives us the opportunity to open up a dialogue with the audience. [It] allows the audience to feel like they are really part of the experience as well.”
