Step back in time to the 1940s when Whist Card Parties were all the rage in Weston, CT. Gather your friends and join us for an evening of card playing, fun, and retro-inspired snacks and cocktails at the Weston Whist Card Party on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 6:30pm – 8pm at the Weston History & Culture Center. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased in advance at: www.WestonCTHistory.org. Limited space available, please buy tickets in advance.
Do you love playing cards with friends? Then come learn the game of Whist! Played in groups of four, Whist is a fun and easy game to learn. Seasoned Whist players will be at each table of 4 to teach and assist with the game. James and Cleora Coley, the last owners of the historic Coley House at WHCC, were experienced Whist players and won many Whist tournaments in Weston during the 1930s and 1940s. Come learn James and Cleora’s favorite game at this exciting retro game night experience.
Event takes place at the Weston History & Culture Center, 104 Weston Road in Weston, CT. Parking and entrance on High Acre Road. Party will take place inside our Visitor Center, which is adjacent to our parking lot.
