The Mayor’s Gallery presents "Art of Observation: Photography of Michael Callahan"
Michael Callahan is a photographer, designer, illustrator & art director with over 20 years experience in visual communications, traditional & digital multimedia, commercial art and graphic design. Photography has become an increasing medium of expression for the last 7 years.
Through the medium of photography, the artist explores the devices of the creative process. Discovering something interesting & inspiring in an ordinary place or vantage point. Graphic and abstract interpretations of the ever changing landscape & environment. Infinite perspectives through light, color & form. Capturing changing shapes & patterns. Divergent thinking, visual narratives, persuasive storytelling & endless Imagination.
Michael is a strong believer in teaching the processes of photography, drawing, fine art, visual communications & multimedia design.
A native of Fairfield County, Michael currently lives in Stamford, CT. He holds a BFA in Illustration at School of Visual Arts, NYC.
