CCP Annual Members Exhibition

Kindred, the annual member’s exhibition kicks off the 20th season celebration for the Center for Contemporary Printmaking (CCP) in Norwalk.  You can view the work starting on Jan. 17 and the opening reception and award ceremony will be held on Jan. 25, 2-5 p.m.

“This exhibition begins a celebratory year with an exhibition highlighting the importance of family,” said Laura G. Einstein, executive director.

Artists were encouraged to think about what family means to them and how this topic influences their artwork. The artwork shows a variety of ways this topic can be defined.

“Family was so important to Grace Shanley, our co-founder along with her husband, Bill. This exhibition is a tribute to the Shanley family and to our community of members and artists who are so important to the Center,” said Einstein.

CCP was founded in 1995 to support artists in the creation of original prints and to educate the community to a fuller understanding of printmaking.  CCP offers various workshops that include encaustic collagraph, lithography, relief and silkscreen. The CCP also has an artist in residence program, studio rental and independent services for artists.

The gallery and studios are open Tuesdays-Sundays, 9 a.m-5 p.m. and are closed on Mondays.

CCP is located in Mathews Park, Norwalk, opposite Lockwood Mathews and our friendly neighbors too!
