Flooring can go a long way in adding dimension to a room, and a big change to wood or tile can transform a space. I changed my hardwood floors to a much lighter look, but it took a lot of time and effort to get just the right mixture. For the mudroom entry and shower floor, I used a great limestone tile from Greenwich Tile and Marble.

The wood flooring acclimates before installation.

The MBB flooring crew preps the floor for the latest stain mixture. This was a long and challenging process and you really have to want it to endure it!

What a difference grout makes. Tile samples with and without it from Greenwich Tile and Marble.

The material palette for the shower and floors: Polished Verona blend tile in a stacked mini-brick pattern, limestone in Normandy Gray, and wood flooring.

The limestone floors are installed.

Two different grout samples (I chose the one on the left).

Waiting for the stone sealer to dry before we resume work in the space.
