Hundreds of people from the Fairfield, CT community gathered late Thursday afternoon Sept. 29th at the Norma Pfriem Breast Center at 111 Beach Road to participate in the Pink Pledge Stroll for Strength, benefitting NPBC and supported by major sponsors Bigelow Tea, Merrill Lynch and Fairfield University Athletics. Area residents, NPBC staff, sponsors, cancer survivors, other local business teams and town and state officials strolled from the site along Old Post Road and up Reef Road to Sherman Green for fun, raffles, speeches and more. The Stroll kicks off the month-long, community wide Pink Pledge fundraising and awareness campaign that enables NPBC to provide Medical Excellence, Compassionate Care and Lifesaving Programs to ALL women, no matter their ability to pay. The stroll also honors the survivors and women warriors of breast cancer. Radio Station Star 99.9 and Radio Personality and Morning Show Host, Anna Zap, from the Anna and Raven Morning Show were onsite to provide music and emcee the evening.
