As Sacred Heart University wraps up its fiftieth year, it has much to cheer about, including a renovation of the Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts, a new Wellness Center, a new athletic director (Bobby Valentine), a new building for the John F. (Jack) Welch College of Business, and Department of Communication and Media Studies. What’s more, in its annual America’s Best Colleges issue, U.S. News & World Report ranked Sacred Heart among the best master’s universities in the North.
Share the joy with SHU. In November and December, the public is welcome to attend holiday events, which include traditional Christmas programs.
Also, you can get involved through Join the Conversation, a lecture program hosted by WSHU Public Radio Group, a not-for-profit station with some 276,000 listeners. The program brings celebrated writers and artists of all types to the SHU campus. A recent event featured screenwriter and bestselling author Delia Ephron, who discussed her new book Sister Mother Husband Dog, this time held at the Yale University Art Gallery and moderated by Tony award-winning actress Joanna Gleason.
Check the schedule throughout the year for more great speakers.
