Sherlock Holmes is paying a visit to Stamford’s Curtain Call’s Dressing Room Theatre, in the new adventure, Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of the Suicide Club.
Lou Ursone, executive director of Curtain Call is thrilled.
“Personally I have been a huge Sherlock Holmes fan since I was a kid. I have always loved the style of Arthur Conan Doyle and as it states in the Guinness Book of World Records, Sherlock Holmes is listed as the ‘most-portrayed movie character of all time,’ said Ursone.

More than 70 actors have portrayed the British detective, and now theater buffs can be dazzled and amazed by the narrative of mind games and mystery.
In this new story Holmes joins a game, and this game is murder. This promotes Holmes to question his mental abilities and his life. Questions are raised and we wait in anticipation to see who will live or die.

Playing the master himself is Geoffrey Gilbert and Holmes’ side-kick is played by long time Curtain Call performer, Bob Filipowich. As always, Curtain Call’s cast performs with passion and perfection.
Curtain Call is in its 24th season, producing star performances all year round. Curtain Call is a non-profit theatre company in Stamford that offers after-school and weekend educational workshops in addition to the main performances. Tickets can be purchased on the phone (203 461 6358 ext. 13) and online, flex passes can be purchased to use at shows of your choice.
“We are excited to be presenting this first adaptation of the show in the area,” said Ursone.
The plays is currently in session and runs through November 11th.
