NY, 1970’s

Author, blogger and Vanity Fair’s culture critic James Wolcott faced the crowd at the latest Join the Conversation program, held at Sacred Heart University. Fortunately for him, it was a friendly audience eager to reminisce about life in New York City in the 1970s. Wolcott read selections from his new book, Lucking Out: My Life Getting Down and Semi-Dirty in Seventies New York, interspersing personal recollections evoked by the selected passages. Audience members included Wolcott’s friends Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth.
