On Trend

Saks’ edgier younger sister has opened across the street from the main store. In a new two-level 14,000-square-foot space, Saks Fifth Avenue The Collective blends personal styling services with a cool selection of up-and-coming designers, many exclusive to the Greenwich market. “We envision moms and daughters shopping together, looking for something for daytime or evening, with our stylists helping them,” says Joe Gambino, vice president and general manager.

What sets the new retail space apart from the flagship? While shoppers will continue to find the highest-end designers such as Prada and Chanel, plus the full range of beauty brands at Saks’ main location (currently undergoing a renovation), The Collective will be a go-to destination for ID’ing trends, “more emerging fashion and risk takers,” says Joe.

This contemporary store, designed by FRCH, features denim labels, such as Stella McCartney denim; a standout crop of sunglasses; swoon-worthy accessories and jewelry; and Tom Ford Beauty on the ground level with apparel, plus the VIP styling suite of fitting rooms and large furnished lounge on the upper level. Look for exclusives to our area: brands such as ATM, Kenzo, T by Alexander Wang, Tibi, Public School, Prose & Poetry, See by Chloé, Zoe Jordan and many others. Also expect top-level service here, as at other Saks locations. You can call ahead to discuss your needs with a stylist and have garments and shoes (from 10022 Shoe) waiting for you in a fitting room. Saks stylists also make house calls.
