Paint The Town

Stroll a summer event that not only honors Westport’s deep art roots but is itself celebrating a milestone: forty years.

The Westport Fine Arts Festival, hosted by the Westport Downtown Merchants Association, is a summer arts festival that transforms Parker Harding Plaza and Gorham Island into a fine art street party on July 20-21.

From vendor to vendor, visitors can view original works in a variety of media, speak with the artists, and pick up great pieces. Along with the art, the event includes music, dancing, street performers, and children’s activities.

Grab a bite from a food vendor or have a seat at one of the restaurants. The fun and family-friendly festival is a calendar highlight for art collectors and enthusiasts alike and remains a serious art event.

Along with traditional mediums of painting, watercolor, photography, sculpture, illustration, prints and mixed media, this summer’s exhibit will also include glass, ceramics, fiber, jewelry, wood and digital art.

Sat.,10am-7pm.; Sun., 10am-5pm.
