Shopping at Blue Star Bazaar is just cute, cute, cute. The boutique offers stylish women’s clothes, handbags, jewelry and scarves alongside children’s toys, picture books and baby gifts—and at prices that are down to earth. Newly settled in a historic post office in Wilton, the shop also sells items on its website.
Owner Megan LaBant Abrahamsen holds a master’s degree from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and has experience in strategy and merchandising at Gap, Coach and New York & Co. She is also a true-blue Wiltonite—she grew up in Wilton, went to Wilton High School and now lives in town. She adds, “Both of my siblings and parents are still here. In addition to my two children, I have eight nieces and nephews in town. Also, my brother, Tim, is the chef and owner of The Schoolhouse in Wilton.”
Baby rompers, stroller blankets, lunch totes, candles, pretty tops, jewelry…this place is fun to shop. New arrivals that are great holiday gifts include the 3’ by 5’ Pirasta Really Big Coloring Posters (above, $32) and private-label Blue Star Bazaar Hand Poured Candles made in small batches in Pennsylvania ($17.50).
