Filling in the Blanks

Bob Mitchell, Co-CEO of the Mitchell Family of Stores, presented a meaningful check to Tina Kramer and Shawnee Knight, the two founders of New Canaan based charity, Filling in the Blanks. They fill a void for an important cause fighting childhood hunger by providing needy children with meals on the weekends.

Mitchells of Westport, one of the 5 Mitchell family luxury retail locations hosted a fun Shoe & Handbag Fashion Show and Luncheon to benefit Filling in the Blanks. The store was brimming with fashionable women who enjoyed a small plate luncheon and unique fashion show. Models in stilettos and satchels strutted the runway exposing only their feet dressed in fantastic footwear and their hands carrying beautiful bags. The show focused on a great selection of shoes and handbags from designers such as Manolo Blahnik, Brunello Cucinelli, Jimmy Choo, Lanvin, Saint Laurent, Tod’s, Prada, Chloe and Valentino.

Plans are in the works for another event partnering Filling in the Blanks with Mitchells again this fall …stay tuned!
