Rebecca Jones & Cameron Sterling

Going for a run is good for your heart, and for Rebecca Mary Jones and Cameron Platt Sterling, this was certainly the case. On a running path in Boulder, Colorado, high school friends Rebecca and Cameron “ran” into each other. They exchanged information to stay in touch, coincidently eight years later both of their careers would bring them to New York City.

After a year of dating, Cameron proposed under an oak tree in Rebecca’s hometown of Windham, Connecticut. Cameron’s advisor and friend from Greenwich Country Day School, Wilson Alling, officiated at the ceremony at the Captain Palmer House in Stonington, Connecticut, where the reception followed.

The bride, daughter of Peter and Ann Jones of Windham, graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She received her master’s degree in architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design. Rebecca is an architect in New York City for io Architects.

The groom, son of Robert Sterling of Palm Beach and Deborah Sterling of Greenwich, graduated from St. George’s School, Kenyon College and Brooks Institute. Cameron is a photographer in New York City.

The Sterlings honeymooned on Martha’s Vineyard before returning home to New York City.
