Rebecca Boone Coleman & Richard John Tarr’s Wedding

Rick and Becca matched on the dating app Coffee Meets Bagel. Ironically, Rick chose a sports bar for their first date. But once they arrived and saw it was too crowded, Becca quickly pivoted and found a nice wine bar nearby. The date went from drinks to dinner, and they soon knew they were the perfect match.

A year and a half later, Becca thought something was suspicious when Rick wanted to go to Governor’s Island. After exploring the island, they headed to Outlook Hill for the beautiful 360-degree views of the Tri-State area. Once at the top, Rick jokingly asked Becca to be the “queen of the rock” to get her to stand in the spot where he (and the photographer he had secretly hired) planned for the proposal to happen. She said yes! The couple then celebrated with their parents.

The bride’s uncle, Sherwood Hughes, officiated at the ceremony at Glenmere Mansion in New York, where the reception followed. A highlight for the couple was seeing the reception hall for the first time and practicing their first dance with just the band while basking in the glow of being newlyweds.

The bride, daughter of Timothy and Allison Coleman of Riverside, graduated Greenwich Academy, Middlebury College and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Becca is a Restructuring Consultant for AlixPartners in New York.

The groom, son of Richard Tarr of Florida and Donna Tarr of New York, graduated from Brewster High School, Binghamton University and New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business. Rick is an investment banker for Wells Fargo in New York.

The newlyweds honeymooned in Positano, Rome and Tuscany before returning home to New York.
