Robots Invade the Westport Library

Earlier this week, the Wall Street Journal reported that two robots (affectionately known as Vincent and Nancy) would be making their way to the Westport library. The main focus of their acquisition is to "teach the kind of coding and computer-programming skills required to animate such machines"

Vincent and Nancy have a rather life-like aesthetic and can do things from kicking around a soccer ball, dance, performing tai chi and other various activities. They also have the ability to "recognize faces and detect where sound is coming from".

If you want to visit with Vincent and Nancy, they will make their grand debut at the library on October 11, and you can read the full Wall Street Journal article here.
