Here’s something to be grateful for on Thanksgiving: That holiday food binge may not be as disastrously calorific as you anticipate. That is, if you’re game for a pre-feast race. Before you settle into those stretch pants for the big meal, lace up the running shoes for the annual Rowayton Turkey Trot, a family-friendly event with two courses (5k and 1 mile) that sprints into action at 9:30 a.m. on November 28. Now in its third year, the event was started by Paul Wolters and Cameron Letters of Rowayton. Having run in similar races, they thought it would be a fun and fast-paced addition to the town’s social calendar. It’s a fundraiser, too. This year, proceeds benefit the Rowayton Library.
