The Grand Entrance and Exit

Hold on tight to that hand… Here you go!

You are about to be announced to the entire world (or at least your friends and family) for the first time as “Mr. and Mrs.” Like every other detail of your wedding, this moment is an opportunity to tell people who you really are.

Even before you decide on what your entrance might look like, the first question is… and this is usually what sets the tone… who will announce you?

In many events, the answer to this question is determined by how important the entrance is to the bride and groom. One option is to have the the band leader announce… “Put your hands together for” followed by the tumultuous sound of your guests clapping and whistling as you sached across the room.

A more personal option is to opt to have parents give a welcome speech to your friends and family and introduce you for the first time as husband and wife. (hopefully they can do this without crying!)

When I offer these options to our brides, they are definitely one way or the other!!  Either way, it’s your moment in the sun.
