Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

The long-running, popular game show “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” is returning to the Connecticut Film Center in Stamford, and area residents again have the chance to be a part of one of television’s most iconic programs.  “Millionaire” is searching for outstanding contestants and enthusiastic audience members for the 2015-2016 season, which premieres in national syndication in September 2015.

Open Auditions

May 7, 14 and 21, 2015, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the “Millionaire” production offices at Connecticut Film Center (300 Stillwater Avenue, Stamford, CT).  There are no sign-ups and admission to the audition session(s) is granted on a first-come, first-served basis.  Further details are available on the show’s website, millionairetv.dadt.com/auditions. 

General Contestant Auditions

May 21 at 7:00 p.m., there also will be a special session targeting movie buffs for an upcoming “Movie Week” edition of “Millionaire.”

Area residents also can catch a bit of the “Millionaire” excitement by attending a taping of the show.  Tapings will take place June 29-August 21, 2015.  Tickets are free, and can be requested from the show’s website, millionairetv.dadt.com/tickets/.  Audience members must be at least 18 years old.  As an added bonus, audience members also can throw their hats in the ring to appear as contestants on a future edition of the popular game show, with the opportunity to audition while they’re at the studio.

Chris Harrison (ABC’s “The Bachelor” franchise) has been named the new host of the nationally syndicated game show “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.” The versatile Harrison will join the popular long-running franchise beginning with its 14th season in fall of 2015.
