There were blizzard conditions for the blind date of Susan Eve Berris and John Patrick Campbell, which had been arranged by mutual friend Julie Sun. But despite the weather, it was so successful that the couple had another date the next day. In May 2010, Susan was prepared for a casual night until she received a mysterious text message to meet John at 57 East 57th Street in New York. Roses, city views and a diamond ring awaited her at the Four Seasons Hotel. Following dinner at L’Atelier de Joel Rubuchon, they phoned friends and family from Central Park to share the news. Father John Griffith married the couple at Carmel Mission Basilica in Carmel, California. A reception followed at Tehama Golf Club.
The bride, daughter of Brian and Sandra Berris of Greenwich, graduated from Greenwich High School and Wake Forest University. She is an advertising account director with Euro RSGG in New York.
The groom, son of Dr. John J. and Ruthellen Campbell of Columbia, Maryland, graduated from Centennial High School and James Madison University. He received his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall Law School. John is an attorney with Schenck, Price, Smith & King in Summit, New Jersey.
Following a honeymoon in Bora Bora, the couple returned home to Summit, New Jersey.
