The MeVay family and the Graham family have a bond that dates back to the forties. And with the marriage of Adriane Bennett MeVay to Russell “Kip” Frost Graham Jr., it will carry on forever. They have known each other since childhood, but it wasn’t until Thanksgiving weekend of 2005 when they bumped into each other at Mackenzie’s, that these family friends became more than friends. Fast-forward five years to an impatient Kip who scratched his elaborate proposal plan and asked Adriane to marry him the minute he walked in the door from work one Friday evening.
The two families came together at the Riverside Yacht Club to celebrate the union of their children. Fred Baker officiated at the ceremony. Adriane and Kip carved out some alone time by leaving the reception through an aisle of guests holding giant sparklers to a launch boat, which took them for a moonlight cruise.
The bride, daughter of Jim and Fran MeVay of Westport, Massachusetts, graduated from the Kent School and the University of Richmond. Adriane is a controller at Litespeed Management
in Manhattan.
The groom, son of Rusty and Val Graham of Old Greenwich, graduated from Brunswick and the University of Connecticut.
Kip is an associate director at UBS Investment Bank in Manhattan.
The newlyweds spent their honeymoon on Hayman Island and in Sydney, Australia. They live in Stamford.
