Paul Mauk, Founder and Executive Chef of Tequila Mockingbird will offer an intimate tasting of agave spirits to provide support for Hands Offering Hope’s unique youth leadership program in Mexico. The event will be held at Tequila Mockingbird on April 7 from 7PM to 9PM in New Canaan.
“I have committed myself to the culture and country where I learned everything I know,” said Mauk. “And it is such a joy to share that knowledge so that young people have the opportunity for a better and brighter future.”
The evening will feature Mexican agave spirits including Tequila, Mezcal, Sotol and Bacanora as well as some of Paul’s acclaimed food. This promises to be a unique and intimate experience with tickets only available to the first 20 people who purchase them.
“We approached Paul because I knew he would provide the most dynamic and authentic experience,” said Michael McClure, CEO of CometaWorks, “I have been a long time customer of this place and knew that this unique event would draw the people who need to be involved.”
All of the monies donated toward this event will go to provide critical leadership, business, and skill training to young people in a rural area in Mexico. In this year-long program, each participant will engage with rigorous courses and service-learning experiences, giving them the chance to succeed.
