A classmate from Staples High School first introduced Alexandra to Michael. The pair hit it off after spending an evening chatting and dancing the night away in South Norwalk. Fast-forward two years
and six days later: Mike popped the question during a decadent eight-course meal at the Blue Hill Farm and Restaurant in Bedford, New York. The wedding ceremony was officiated by Mary Coburn at the Jonathan Edwards Winery in North Stonington, Connecticut, and was followed by a reception with friends and family.
The daughter of Wendy and Chip MacBeth of Weston, Alexandra is a graduate of Staples High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Union College and currently works as a production manager for Integrated Marketing Services in Norwalk.
Mike, the son of Ann and Richard Shannon of Scottsdale, Arizona, is a senior associate at Fifth Street Finance in White Plains. He is a graduate of Cornell University, where he earned his bachelor’s in economics.
The bride and groom honeymooned in Croatia. They live in Darien.
