While vacationing in Hawaii and driving along the road to Hana, Megan and Brian decided to pull over and explore a waterfall that they observed from the road. The couple hiked to the waterfall and the swimming hole and decided to go for a swim. Brian had hidden the engagement ring underneath a towel. After their swim, Megan took the towel from Brian and noticed the ring and immediately said, “Yes!”
Brian and Megan, who were first introduced to each other by a mutual friend in 2006 at the College of the Holy Cross, became husband and wife at the Chapel of the Snows in Stratton, Vermont. The ceremony was officiated by Deacon Jerry Driscoll and Father Bill Dewan. Guests were whisked to the lively reception at the Stratton Mountain Club via gondola rides. Jay McMahon, a magician, mystified family and friends during the cocktail hour.
The bride is the daughter of Laurie and Dennis Orr of Westport. She graduated from Wilton High School and then earned a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from The College of the Holy Cross. Megan received her masters in special education from Boston College.
The groom, son of Mary and Francis Granger of Worcester, Massachusetts, graduated from The College of the Holy Cross with a bachelor’s degree in economics and psychology. He is an account manager at Acosta Sales & Marketing in Marlborough.
The couple returned home to Natick, following a honeymoon in St. Thomas.
