Like a scene out of a Grey’s Anatomy episode, Nurse Carrie met Dr. Jonathan Stegall at Greenwich Hospital when the two were caring for the same patient. The couple had been dating for a few years when Jonathan proposed in the rain at the lighthouse at Portland Head in Maine.
The Bride and Groom
Reverend Richard Bond officiated at the ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church in Greenwich, followed by a reception at Indian Harbor Yacht Club. A highlight of the evening for the couple was when the groomsmen performed an impromptu “Gangnam style” dance-off.
The bride, daughter of Allen and Lorain Lovejoy of Greenwich, graduated from Greenwich High School, Colby College, and received her master’s in nursing from Columbia University. Carrie is a nurse practitioner in Darien.
The groom, son of Dan and Susan Stegall of Greenville, South Carolina, graduated from Easley High School, Clemson University, Georgetown University and the Medical University of South Carolina. Jonathan is a doctor at Greenwich Hospital.

The Stegalls honeymooned in Hawaii before heading home to Greenwich.
