Elizabeth Armstrong (known by friends as Bette) met Peter Soto while both were working as teachers at Poly Prep Country Day School in Brooklyn. The couple dated for four and a half years before getting engaged during an evening stroll along the Brooklyn Heights Promenade.
To exchange vows the duo crossed the bridge for a classic New York City ceremony and a reception atop the Bryant Park Grill restaurant. The ceremony was officiated by The Honorable Milton Mollen, former Presiding Justice, Appellate Division of The New York State Supreme Court.
The bride, daughter of Maxine K. Armstrong of Greenwich and the late Thomas E. Armstrong II, graduated from Greenwich Academy and Trinity College, and received her master’s degree in early childhood education from Lesley University. Bette is a teacher at Poly Prep Country Day School in Brooklyn.
The groom, son of Patricia Harrigan of Brooklyn, graduated from Poly Prep High School and Northeastern University, and received his master’s in sports management from Brooklyn College. Peter also works at Poly Prep Country Day School as a physical education teacher and coach.
Following a honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico, Mr. and Mrs. Soto returned home to Park Slope in Brooklyn.
