While John and Erin both attended Cornell University and shared many of the same friends, it was not until the end of their senior year that they were finally introduced to each other. John and Erin immediately hit it off. A few years later, John proposed to Erin at Madison Square Park en route to her birthday dinner.
Reverend David Norris officiated at the ceremony at the Inn at Longshore in Westport, where the reception followed.
The groom, son of Susan and John VanArsdale of Oxford, Connecticut, graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and English and acquired his Juris Doctor from Cardozo School of Law. He is an attorney in New York.
The bride is the daughter of Edgar and Elizabeth Dollin of New Jersey. She received her bachelor’s degree in business from Cornell University and her MBA from Rutgers University. She is a financial manager at SiriusXM Radio in New York.
After a honeymoon in Paris, the couple returned home to New Jersey.
