About the Event:
The fashion show fundraiser unites the women of our RISE program with renowned designer Vernice Holmes and other local fashion designers to co-create original pieces inspired by each woman’s personal journey, using fashion as a platform for hope.

Each garment tells a story of survival, growth, and newfound confidence as participants take to the runway not only as models but as authors of their own transformation. The fashion show serves as a narrative of what is possible when justice-involved women are met with compassion, opportunity, and community support.

About RISE:
RISE is a program of Family Reentry/CRJ that provides non-residential post-release reentry services to women returning from incarceration, and offers psychoeducational skills groups that focus on self-care, wellness, financial literacy, sobriety, social skills, healthy coping, positive connections, and healthy relationships. Each client served benefits from bi-weekly groups, emotional support, and mental health and medical services.
