The J House Greenwich’s J Gallery will host a sophisticated evening of culture and local commerce at its upcoming Art After Hours exhibition on May 5.

This edition of Art After Hours spotlights the work of Melinda Buie, a Port Chester-based artist renowned for her captivating, large-scale oil paintings. Buie’s portfolio is diverse, ranging from serene pastoral scenes inspired by her East Texas roots to compelling portraits and intricate architectural structures.
Her work has earned international acclaim, with past exhibitions in major galleries across the United States, as well as in London, Berlin, and Italy. Working from a studio in Port Chester, Buie brings a wealth of experience from her time with esteemed institutions such as the Whitney Museum of American Art, Gluckman Mayner Architects, and The Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation.
