Heather Jackson & Brad Salvatore

Heather Leigh Jackson and Brad Andrew Salvatore met as students at Trinity Catholic High School and became instant friends. Neither one is sure exactly when their feelings for each other became romantic, but they point to one summer night before graduating from college, over ice cream cones at Dairy Queen, as the moment when everything changed.

A few years later, because Christmas is Heather’s favorite holiday, Brad took her to a nearby farm to search for the “perfect tree.” Once it was cut down, Brad proposed, giving Heather a box with what he called “the first ornament for our tree.” Another surprise followed that day with a “Trim-a-Tree Engagement” party at the Stamford home of Tina and Paul Salvatore, Brad’s parents.

Heather and Brad were married New Year’s Eve by Monsignor Stephen DiGiovanni at the Basilica of St. John the Evangelist in Stamford. A reception followed at the Marriott Hotel & Spa. Heather, a graduate of the University of Connecticut, is the daughter of Diane and Hugh “Skip” Jackson of Stamford. She is a public relations manager for Philips in Stamford.

Brad, a graduate of Duquesne University, is a digital sales planner for Turner Broadcasting in New York.

After a honeymoon in Antigua, the couple returned to Stamford, where they recently purchased their first home.
