In Focus

The winners of our annual photo contest hail from area schools—Greens Farms Academy, Fairfield Ludlowe, and Fairfield Warde—and all of the shots are taken in Fairfield, Southport, or along the border. This offers our readers a chance to see not only the skill of young artists, but also a unique view of home. We think you’ll be delighted and amazed by the skill and consideration exhibited in each of these shots. A special thanks to our contest sponsor, FastFrame of Westport.

We also collected these shots, taken after Hurricane Sandy, for special recognition as photojournalism. It’s an especially difficult assignment to turn the lens on devastation within one’s own hometown, but these Fairfield Ludlowe High School students rose to the challenge and expertly chronicled an unforgettable moment in our history.
