In Her Honor

In a touching tribute to the life and legacy of a first-grader lost in the Sandy Hook tragedy, the Catherine Violet Hubbard Foundation recently hosted a one-of-a-kind, exclusive golf invitational at the Stanwich Club. In keeping with Catherine’s love of animals and her quest to protect them, Stamford-based Animal Embassy attended the event with Taiga, a Eurasian eagle-owl, and Kooney Kooney, a New Zealand pig. The lovely afternoon raised funds for the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary in Newtown. The sanctuary is nestled in the heart of Newtown and spread over thirty-four acres of pristine farmland, breathtaking woodlands and rolling meadows. Join Catherine’s family, friends and animals next summer for more golf at Stanwich on Thursday, July 16. cvhfoundation.org
