Todd Peter Wikman spotted Jennifer Elizabeth Murphy during a housewarming party, where he quickly introduced himself. During the evening, they realized they shared much in common and within days they were out on a date. They have spent few days apart since.
Every detail of the June 2012 wedding Jennifer and Todd planned after he proposed at Thanksgiving was filled with meaning. The rehearsal dinner hosted by Todd’s parents, Sandra and Gary Wikman of Fairfield, was held at Avellino’s in Fairfield, where Jennifer and Todd also celebrated their engagement. Rev. Paul J. Carling officiated the ceremony at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fairfield, where Todd’s parents were also married. A reception followed at the Stamford Yacht Club, for Jennifer a place filled with memories of her childhood. “I had an especially close bond with my father, who passed away just seven weeks after the wedding,” says Jennifer. “Our father-daughter dance is one of my most cherished memories.” The weekend ended the next day, when Jennifer’s sisters, Dawn Deehan and Maureen Kenefick, hosted a family luncheon at their parents’ nearby Shippan home.
