Are you on the hunt for stunning, limited-edition photographs to elevate the aesthetic of your home or office? Look no further than TheseFineWalls, the brainchild of Lisa Eryn Silverman. Founded in 2014, TheseFineWalls quickly established itself as an online haven for interior designers, architects and collectors seeking to acquire and admire breathtaking photographs.

Silverman, a former fashion-photography producer, recognized the untapped potential of the private portfolios of the world’s top photographers, which often remained hidden from public view. With TheseFineWalls, Silverman set out to transform editorial-style images into fine art, ideal for display in a variety of interior settings. In this Q&A, we’ll delve deeper into the inspiration behind TheseFineWalls and explore Silverman’s vision for the future of the company.

Q&A with Lisa Eryn Silverman of TheseFineWalls

Tell us a bit about what TheseFineWalls specializes in as an online gallery?
TheseFineWalls is an online art gallery that offers a unique collection of limited-edition photographs. Each work on our site has been hand selected by me and is a work that I feel can stand alone on its own as a statement piece. Our customers know when they visit our site, they can find something for almost any interior without the hassle of sorting through hundreds of prints. Each and every order is custom made and produced on demand which gives us the ability to tailor orders to our customers’ unique needs, offering a truly bespoke experience!

About how many photographers are in your roster right now?
We currently have twelve emerging and established photographers from around the world on our site, including myself! Additionally, I have relationships with many artists and art dealers which we are able to access on behalf of our customers, and I am constantly discovering new talent!

Who are some of your noteworthy photographers at the moment?
I feel passionately about all of the artists on our site, I can’t choose favorites! They all have such a strong and complementary style.

Williams and Hirakawa’s “White Sand No.2” stands out on its own.

What types of works are you seeing your clients seeking currently?
Black-and-white prints are having a moment, and I am so happy to offer great works from so many of our photographers. Dina Broadhurst’s prints are always great for customers who are seeking an oversized statement piece.

You specialize in not only the curation of the artists but the experience in terms of picking pieces that suit your home. How does this virtual process work?
Usually, customers will reach out to us and ask for help selecting a print(s) for a specific space in their home. We want our customers to purchase items that they will love for years to come, so it is important to know what prints they are attracted to and get a sense of their unique style when providing a recommendation. We with the request photos of the space and relevant dimensions. This information gets packaged together and informs our suggestion of works. We provide customers photoshopped images of our prints in their space whenever possible so that they can visualize how it will all come together!

Your business has expanded we love discovering that your bespoke services are now available in Westport. Tell us a bit about how that came about?
I want our customers to buy what they love and for that to work in their space, so it has always been important to me to offer custom options. The simple addition of a border can change how any given print presents, and I love working with customers to get this right for them every time! Our printer/framer is located in the tri-state area, which makes shipping to Westport painless. We are able to offer hand delivery for oversized works instead of engaging a third-party crating and shipping company. This makes for easy delivery without any worries about shipping damages. Westport is hot right now, and we have customers purchasing beautiful homes that we have enjoyed taking a part in!

As you look at the road ahead for the business where are you seeing the most growth?
So much has changed since I first launched my business, it is hard to predict the future! I love that TheseFineWalls is nimble and able to constantly assess opportunities to grow and evolve. We have many exciting things in the pipeline for both customers and for the trade that I can’t wait to launch. As a mom to three young boys who will soon all be in school, I am also very excited to focus on the creative again and bring some more of my own works to the site!
