It’s time to think way out of the box when it comes to your wedding cake. “Color and variety in shape are becoming much more common,” says Michelle Klem, owner of CakeSuite in Westport. “Thanks to the TV exposure that wedding cakes have been getting, brides are much more familiar with what’s available to them, and they are more adventurous than ever before with design.” Chocolate ribbons, sweet daisies and pink-hued icing are a few of the unique touches Michelle has added to her cakes.
