New Canaan Community Foundation (NCCF) hosted a sold-out luncheon to support its Touch a Life fund. The event raised $200,000 for the program, providing emergency financial assistance for residents who struggle to make ends meet. Stephanie Land, author of two acclaimed books—Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother’s Will to Survive and Class: A Memoir of Motherhood, Hunger and Higher Education—shared her inspiring journey as an impoverished single mother. newcanaancf.org
