The festival is a cherished event and one of the best ways to begin the season of giving. It is held at the historic Burr Homestead and has raised millions of dollars for nonprofit and charity organizations since it began thirty-one years ago.
This season the festival benefits the Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center and the Cardinal Shehan Center and is themed A Season We Share.
The series of events, held between November 29 and December 2, include a wine-and-beer tasting and the delightful gala. (Be sure to check its website for information about all of the events.)
One of the most popular events, Share a Cup of Tea, is hosted by The Royal Tea Company. It’s an authentic and tasteful Victorian holiday tea also enjoyed by former clients Martha Stewart and the Duchess of York. It’s not to be missed, but get your tickets early (it sells out quickly).
Children will enjoy the Visit with Santa and the Sharing Is Caring events. If nothing else, simply delight in touring the mansion in its festive splendor.
