New Year’s Eve will always have a special place in Sharon and Sujan’s heart. It was on the eve of New Year’s Eve that the two met while on a ski trip in Vermont. Five years later, while vacationing at the stunning Jade Mountain on St. Lucia, Sujan Patel asked Sharon to be his wife. Father Michael Massaro officiated at the ceremony at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach, Florida. A reception followed at the Moorings Club. The evening was capped off with a spectacular fireworks display.
The bride, daughter of Thakur and Pauline Sharma of Old Greenwich, graduated from the Kent School and Boston College. Sharon is currently a student at New York School of Interior Design.
The groom, son of Suresh and Pravina Patel of Canton, Ohio, graduated from Central Catholic High School and Dartmouth University. Sujan is a managing director at Northstar Realty Finance.
The newlyweds spent their honeymoon on St. Barts and in Rajasthan, India. They call Manhattan home
