The season of gift-giving and decorating is upon us, and design professionals and enthusiasts alike, as well as hostesses, gardeners and antiquarians, will find unparalleled treasure-hunting and holiday décor inspiration at Antiquarius, the annual fundraiser benefiting the Greenwich Historical Society.

The festivities kick off with the Greenwich Winter Antiques Show, produced by Frank Gaglio, Inc., on December 2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and December 3 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Held at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center, the show will showcase more than forty nationally recognized exhibitors featuring fine art, marine art, estate jewelry, American and continental furniture, prints, luxury handbags and more from the eighteenth to mid-twentieth century. Following a lecture at 10 a.m., Rago specialists will be on hand that Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to provide complimentary appraisals by appointment for fine and post-war/contemporary art, twentieth- and twenty-first-century design, eighteenth- and nineteenth-century decorative arts and furnishings, jewelry, silver, coins and currency.

If you want a sneak peek of the treasures beforehand, a ticket to the Opening Night Preview Party on December 1 will give you a head start on shopping. You’ll also get a chance to see how the Antiquarius Honorary Design Chair, Richard Keith Langham, magically transforms the venue into an extravagant holiday wonderland, grounded in his celebrated Anglo-Southern style.

Accents of holly, amaryllis and pine cones, are just a few touches that set a festive tone.

But wait, there’s more—you can cross even more names off your gift list at the Holiday Boutique, which opens December 5 at 6 p.m. at the Greenwich Country Club. The artfully curated shopping experience will feature over thirty-five vendors whose offerings range from monogrammed children’s wear to cuddle-worthy knitwear and semi-precious sparkles. The boutique will be open all day the following day and can be visited before or after the Holiday House Tour on December 6. Buzzworthy designers, including Richard Keith Langham, will artfully decorate several of the exceptional homes on the tour this year. Representing an array of architectural and décor styles, these stunning residences each impress while presenting an intimate glimpse into the varying ways Greenwich residents live, gather and celebrate today. To make the day even more festive, tour attendees can also enjoy a sumptuous buffet meal at the Holiday House Tour Luncheon at the Greenwich Country Club from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Advance reservations and tickets are required for the house tour and the luncheon.
