Open Doors Shelter hosted its annual benefit to help prevent homelessness and provide services to those in need. Held at The Loading Dock in Stamford, the gala celebrated “hope, compassion and community.” Local leaders, neighbors and supporters of the nonprofit mingled during cocktail hour and enjoyed a sit-down dinner. The guests enjoyed some friendly competition during the live and silent auctions to raise money for the organization. Besides housing programs, Open Doors Shelter serves hot meals, runs a clothing center, and assists with employment. opendoorsct.org
