The Inn at Longshore in Westport holds special sentimental value for Ryan Thomas Bartlett and Kristen Victoria Giacobbe. In 2002 Kristen invited Ryan to the Red and White Charity Ball, which is where Ryan asked Kristen to be his girlfriend. Nearly ten years later, the couple has come full circle—they decided to host their wedding reception at the same inn where their relationsip began. Prior to the reception, the ceremony was presided over by Rev. Charles Allen S.J. at the St. Pius X Church in Fairfield.
The daughter of Paul and Therese Giacobbe of Fairfield, Kristen is a graduate of Fairfield High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in communications from Keene State College. She works as a nanny in Fairfield. Ryan, the son of Carol and Robert Bartlett of Fairfield, is an investment marketing manager for AXA Equitable in New York City. He is a graduate of Fairfield Prep and earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Boston College.
Kristen and Ryan were originally introduced to one another by mutual friends. On a trip to Washington, D.C., in March of 2010, Ryan proposed to Kristen amidst the cherry blossoms near the Jefferson Memorial.
The bride and groom returned home to Fairfield after traveling to Rome and the Amalfi Coast.
