If you spend your time singing in the shower, dancing in front of your mirror, or entertaining your pet with countless jokes and antics, it's time to share your talent with the rest of the world!
If you are between the ages of 10 and 100 and can sing, dance, do magic tricks, play an instrument, or have any other miscellaneous talent, AND have a connection to Darien (born, schooled, work, or worked in town, former resident etc), you qualify to audition for the second annual "Darien's Got Talent" competition.
Long-time Darien resident, Carole Claps, who has directed, produced, performed, and taught theatre throughout Fairfield County for many years, will be returning to the event. Also returning for another turn as Music Director is Chris Coogan, the multi-talented entertainer composer, performer, teacher, choir director, and producer.
To participate in “Darien’s Got Talent,” you must register online no later than May 23 to be eligible for an audition spot. Auditions take place Saturday and Sunday, June 1 and 2, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Darien Town Hall auditorium. Finals will take place Saturday, June 29 at 7:30 p.m. at Darien High School in front of a live audience. The winner will receive $1,500; second place $750; and $500 for third.
