Elizabeth “Brooke” Cavanaugh and Roslyn “Thomas” Reed enjoy a classic love story. They first met in kindergarten and remained at New Canaan Country School together through ninth grade. Although they attended different high schools, they stayed in touch. Eventually they began dating, and 12 years later, on their apartment balcony in Chelsea, Thomas surprised Brooke when he got down on one knee and proposed. The Reverend John T. Beach presided over the wedding ceremony, which took place at St. Paul’s Church on Nantucket. A reception at the Nantucket Yacht Club followed. Afterward, the couple hopped aboard the club’s launch boat and crossed the harbor for a stay at the White Elephant Resort. The bride is the daughter of Nancy and John Cavanaugh of New Canaan. She graduated from Elon University and works in investor relations. The groom is the son of Gwen and Tom Reed, also of New Canaan. He graduated from St. Lawrence University and received his master’s from Columbia University. He works as a risk consultant at AIR Worldwide in Boston. The couple honeymooned in Portugal. They now call Boston home.
