Meet Courtney Brockwell, Founder of the JUST-LAUNCHED Co-Dough Bread.
Her organic sourdough breads and homemade butters, made locally, are stunning, wrapped oh-so-charmingly in brown paper and twine. She offers local pickup. Courtney is also, simply, a ray of sunshine who loves her craft, effuses the benefits of sourdough bread, and is bound to MAKE IT BIG.
How and when did you start Co-Dough Bread?
I started making sourdough over a year ago just for family and friends. Since the feedback was so positive, I decided to start a business.
What are your most requested products?
The plain sourdough is still a favorite, along with the homemade butter, which is made with Celtic salt. The sourdough is popular because of the health benefits compared to any other breads. Even the sourdough you buy from the grocery store doesn’t use natural wild yeast. We also created a gluten-free organic sourdough loaf after many requests, which has been a huge success. Customers have said it’s the best they have ever tasted.
You are very engaged on social media. What have you discovered your customers want?
I’ve noticed them wanting fresh, healthy, and delicious bread. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality and organic products for our customers. Life’s too short to be buying store-bought bread.
Where can people buy your products?
We are in the process of developing a website that will be launching this summer. For now, we can be found on our Instagram: @codoughbread, and orders can be placed there for pickup through the link in the bio.
Do you have plans for expansion?
YES! We are scaling up and will be moving into a commercial kitchen, and if you’re eating at local restaurants, you may have it on your table! We are in the process now and will keep everyone in the loop on our Instagram.
