Former ESPN Sportscaster Deb Placey Expands The Post with New Westport Location

Deb Placey

After 27 years as a sportscaster at ESPN and MSG Network, Deb Placey brought her lifelong passion for design to the forefront. Alongside her best friend—whom she grew up with—Placey co-founded The Post, a boutique that blends thoughtful home décor with unique finds.

While The Post already enjoys a spacious location on the Post Road, the opportunity to open a second spot in the heart of downtown Westport’s shopping district, Sconset Square, was simply too good to pass up.

“We jumped at the opportunity,” says Placey. “It’s such a vibrant area.”

The Post is a place where community, creativity and coastal living come together.

The new location will make it easier for loyal customers to stop by while also introducing The Post to new shoppers exploring downtown. Known for its curated hostess gifts, tabletop pieces, and distinctive home décor, The Post will continue offering the items regulars love while also showcasing more one-of-a-kind pieces.

“With a second location, we have the chance to highlight even more unique finds,” Placey says.

And with neighboring shops like Casa Me always buzzing, Placey is excited to be part of the energy of Sconset Square—welcoming both longtime clients and first-time visitors to discover something special.
