Julia Llewellyn Lonski & Allan Robert McDonnell

Allan and Julia are good old-fashioned high school sweethearts. The pair met during their senior year in high school through a mutual friend, and the rest is history. Seven years later, while on holiday in Morocco, Allan put together a very special proposal. After a horse-drawn carriage tour of old Marrakech at sunset and a private dinner on a rooftop terrace, Allan got down on one knee to ask for Julia’s hand in marriage.

Pastor Paul Egensteiner officiated the ceremony at Christ Church in Greenwich and the reception followed at Whitby Castle at Rye Golf Club. To incorporate the couple’s Irish and Welsh ancestry, a bagpiper played as guests made their way into the castle.
The bride, daughter of Dr. Michael Lonski and Dr. Evelyn Llewellyn of Old Greenwich, graduated from Greenwich High School, New York University and Fordham University. Julia works for Spencer Stuart in Stamford.

The groom, son of Allan and Helayne McDonnell of Rye Brook, graduated from Port Chester High School and Drexel University. Allan works for Kensico Capital in Greenwich.

The newlyweds spent their honeymoon in Nantucket followed by two weeks in Thailand, Cambodia, Hong Kong and Bali before returning home to Greenwich.
